Artists and the historical struggle against fascism

[CAST, ENG]
Artists were on the front lines of the international
fight against fascism during the Civil War.
Organisations such as the IAI (International
Association of Artists) organised exhibitions
and other fundraising activities to support the
Spanish Republic and many others joined the
International Brigades. Following this tradition,
the Solidarity Park Association has used art to
recover historical memory and warn against the
dangers of fascism. In this roundtable some of
the artists participating in the Solidarity Park
project will explain their art, their ideas and their
vision of the future. Taking part will be:

  • Edna Strenja Jurcan (Croatia)
  • Bruno Coffineau (France)
  • Roc Blackblock (Catalonia)
  • Rob MacDonald (UK)
